Former Knesset Member (1996-99) Alex Lubotzky is a Professor of Mathematics. He received his PhD in Mathematics at the age of 23 and, following five years of military service, joined the Department of Mathematics at the Hebrew University, becoming the youngest full professor in Israels
history. In 1996, Professor Lubotzky was elected to the 14th Knesset as a member of the Third Way, where he served until 1999. He was actively involved in resolving the Conversion
Bill crisis and worked with MK Yossi Beilin on a new covenant on religion and state affairs for the State of Israel. |
