Dr. Adena K. Berkowitz received her MA in Philosophy and her PhD in Jewish Ethics from the Jewish Theological Seminary. She also holds a law degree from Yeshiva Universitys Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she was a Samuel Belkin Scholar. As a consultant to Hadassah, she has established Hadassahs National Center for Attorneys Councils. A member of the New York UJA Federation Committee on Medical Ethics, she is a prolific writer and is a frequent lecturer on topics relating to Jewish ethics. Dr. Berkowitz serves on the coordinating committee for the Third International Conference on Feminism and Orthodoxy and is a board member of the Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance (JOFA). |
