Dr. Benny Kraut Queens, New York
Director, Queens College Center for Jewish Studies

Benny Kraut is currently Professor of History and Director of the Center for Jewish Studies and Jewish Studies Program at Queens College, New York. He is also Professor Emeritus of Judaic Studies at the University of Cincinnati, where he won two of the institution’s most celebrated teaching prizes, the Dolly Cohen Award for Teaching Excellence and the McMicken College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Award for Distinguished Teaching. Dr. Kraut holds MA and PhD degrees from Brandeis University, and has published widely in the fields of modern and American Jewish history and Judaism and is a former book review editor of American Jewish History.
