Rabbi Yosek Kanefsky is Rabbi of Bnai David-Judea Congregation in Los Angeles. He was ordained in 1989 at Yeshiva Universitys Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, where he also received a Masters Degree in Jewish History from its Bernard Revel Graduate School. He began his Rabbinic career as the Associate Rabbi of the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale and has served as Rabbi of Bnai David-Judea Congregation since 1996. During his tenure, he has introduced changes in the
synagogue ritual intended to enhance the role of women in Orthodox ritual life, has made social action an important
dimension of the congregations activity, and has spoken and
written frequently about the issue of Jewish pluralism. |
